What we do
From the silicon up through the cloud, we cover ground that most teams handle with three separate vendors. One studio, one set of standards, zero translation loss.
We design and ship AI-powered products — from LLM interfaces and generative tools to edge AI on constrained hardware. Full lifecycle: concept, architecture, build, deployment.
Real-time firmware, RTOS design, PCB layout, board bring-up, and hardware-software integration. We've shipped wireless silicon, aerospace software, and safety-critical systems.
Architecture reviews, technical due diligence, engineering leadership, and team mentorship. We embed alongside your team to raise the ceiling on what you can build.
We help businesses move from brittle legacy systems to modern, maintainable stacks — without disrupting what already works. CI/CD, cloud migration, AI integration.
Studio work
We don't just consult — we ship. These are the products coming out of the q3ik studio.
An AI spelling bee coach that listens, coaches, and cheers kids on in real time. Voice-first, built for learning.
Snap a photo of anything — AI generates a LEGO model with step-by-step instructions and a parts list ready to order.
Experiments, prototypes, and ideas in progress. Where we test what's next before it becomes a product.
Why q3ik
From bare metal to AI inference — we own the whole stack. No hand-offs, no translation loss between layers.
Every engagement is led by a senior engineer. You work directly with the person doing the work — not a project manager.
We move like a startup. Fast decisions, tight feedback loops, and experience building under real pressure.
Hardware + AI is a rare pairing. We've shipped wireless silicon, aerospace-grade code, and AI products — from the same team.
About
quick · q-bik · q3 — three meanings packed into four characters.
Speed, because great technology moves. The engineering lineage — Kubik — because craft and ownership matter. And the 3, because good ideas need volume: depth, dimension, and space in the world.
q3ik was founded by Jay Kubik — a senior engineer with 10+ years across aerospace-grade embedded software, 60 GHz wireless systems, and AI product development. The studio exists because the most interesting problems sit at the intersection of disciplines that rarely share a team.
We're based in Toronto. We work with companies worldwide.
