Build the things
that don't exist yet.

We're a small, technical studio growing with purpose. If you work best at the edge of what's possible — where hardware meets AI — you might be exactly who we're looking for.

Culture

What it's like here.

We're not a big company. We don't want to be. Here's what that means in practice.

High ownership

You'll own problems end to end — not tasks in a ticket queue. Your judgment matters here. We hire people we trust and then trust them.

Cross-stack problems

One week you're debugging firmware timing. The next you're integrating an LLM. Breadth is a feature of this work, not an accident.

Small, tight team

No bureaucracy. Decisions are fast. You'll have direct impact on the direction of every project you touch, and your voice carries weight.

Real shipped products

We build things that go live — not decks that go to committees. Everything we work on either ships to clients or ships as a studio product.

Async-first

We value depth of thought over performative presence. We communicate clearly in writing and protect each other's focus time.

Learning is the work

The problems we take on require learning. We expect it, budget for it, and celebrate it. Curiosity is a core skill here.

Open roles

We're hiring engineers.

All roles are fully remote. We're based in Toronto but work with people everywhere.

Senior Software Engineer

Generalist · Hardware + AI + Systems

Full-time Remote

We're looking for a senior engineer who thinks in systems. You're as comfortable at the hardware-software boundary as you are shipping a web API or integrating an AI model. You've delivered real software in demanding environments, and you bring opinions — grounded in evidence — about how to build things well.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years building production software systems, with a record of shipping
  • Strong C/C++ or embedded programming background; Python a bonus
  • Experience with Linux-based systems, RTOS, or low-level hardware interfaces
  • Comfortable working across the stack — from firmware to cloud endpoints
  • Clear, direct written communication — you can explain complex things simply
  • Bonus: experience with wireless protocols, safety-critical standards (DO-178C, MISRA), or AI/ML integration

Embedded Systems Engineer

Firmware · Hardware · Real-time systems

Full-time Remote

You know what happens in the space between hardware and software. You've designed PCBs, brought up boards, debugged with a logic analyzer, and shipped firmware under timing constraints. You find the hardware-software boundary interesting, not intimidating.

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years writing embedded firmware in C or C++ (bare-metal or RTOS)
  • Hands-on experience with ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers (STM32 or similar)
  • Hardware debugging: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG/SWD
  • Solid understanding of serial protocols — SPI, I2C, UART, CAN bus
  • Experience with board bring-up, hardware validation, and schematic review
  • Bonus: PCB layout, DO-178C/DO-254 compliance, wireless protocols (BLE, WiGig, Zigbee, 5G mmWave)

AI / ML Engineer

LLMs · Edge AI · Product integration

Full-time Remote Contract OK

You build AI systems that actually work in production. You understand the gap between a notebook and a deployed model, and you know how to close it — especially in resource-constrained environments. You care about what the model is actually doing, and you can explain it to someone who doesn't.

What we're looking for

  • Experience deploying LLM or ML models to production environments
  • Proficiency with Python and at least one ML framework (TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX)
  • Solid understanding of API design and system integration patterns
  • Comfort working with real data, real users, and real edge cases
  • Strong written communication — you can explain what the model is doing and why
  • Bonus: edge AI deployment, on-device inference (TFLite, ONNX), prompt engineering, or embedded systems background
